Blue Chip Farms is one of North America’s premier commercial horse boarding and breeding operations, centrally located in Wallkill, NY—just 50 miles north of Manhattan. The farm spans 700 acres of rolling hills and features six barns with 122 stalls, along with 18 sheds. Blue Chip is supported by a dedicated team of 30 full- and part-time employees, many of whom live right on the farm. The farm is fully owned by Thomas Grossman, read his welcome letter here.
Since opening its doors in 1969, Blue Chip has developed seven World Champions and more than 1,200 Stakes Winners, with Blue Chip–bred and raised horses amassing over $150 million in purse earnings.

Blue Chip currently stands or manages seven of the highest-ranking Standardbred stallions across North America, Australia, and New Zealand. Collectively, these stallions breed approximately 900 mares each year. In addition to our world-class Standardbred program, Blue Chip is also home to select Thoroughbreds and Sport Horses.
