A Tradition of Excellence

Blue Chip Farms is a leading commercial horse boarding and breeding farm in North America, centrally located in Wallkill, NY only 50 miles north of Manhattan. The farm is comprised of 700 acres of rolling hills, has six barns with 122 stalls and 18 sheds. Blue Chip has thirty full and part time employees, most of who live on the farm. The farm is fully owned by Thomas Grossman, read his welcome letter here.

 

Horse living the good life at Blue Chip Farms

Since inception in 1969 Blue Chip has produced 7 World Champions and over 1,200 Stakes Winners.  Blue Chip Farms bred and raised horses have won in excess of $150 million in purse money.  

Blue Chip currently stands, or manages, eleven of the highest ranking Standardbred stallions in North America, Australia and New Zealand. These stallions breed approximately 900 mares per year. In addition to Standardbreds, Blue Chip Thoroughbreds and Sport Horses reside on-farm. 

Blue Chip Farms is dedicated to the growth and development of the Standardbred horse industry in New York and lives by the mantra - “To Breed, Raise, and Sell” Champions for its racing clientele.

 

Grand Circuit champions that have been bred and raised by Blue Chip include Downbytheseaside (World Champion, $2,179,558), Plunge Blue Chip (World Champion, $1,576,251), Gallo Blue Chip (World Champion, $4,260,959), Santanna Blue Chip ($1,597,725), Kenneth J ($1,551,627), Isabella Blue Chip (World Champion, $792,069), and Spider Blue Chip (Breeder's Crown Winner, $1,202,467).
